Moving along...

Hello!  I hope and pray you had a great Christmas!  And that your new year has been able to start out on the right foot.  I plan to continue part 2 of how we got here soon.  However, I wanted to let you know that our background checks came back!  And they were fine ; ) in case you were worried...lol.  Now that we have those back we have scheduled our last home study meeting with our social worker for January 19.  After that meeting the social worker will take a couple of weeks to write up our "home study."  Then we are licensed to adopt! Yay!  What we have to work on now is:  A video about ourselves and a book about ourselves... (how exciting, right!?!)  Collectively these two items are called our "profile."  The video has to be approximately 10-12 minutes long.  It's basically just Kyle and I talking about ourselves.  Can you tell why I'm so excited about it now?! (I hope you feel the sarcasm! LOL)  And the book is something that we can put pictures of our family in.  We have to write about our life, our house, our neighborhood, our family, and then for part of it they ask us to write a little bit about our spouse.  Okay!  I am excited to be at this point in the process because it has taken a long time to get here.  I still feel like we have a long way to go though : /  It will happen, eventually., and it could be sooner than we all think.  Sometimes I want to ask God if he'll clue me in a little, but ya know.  Thanks again for all of your prayers!  They are definitely felt!
